2013 an exciting year ahead!

And so it begins….2013! Happy New Year everyone!

2013 is a busy year for me, I have lots of exciting things coming up to look forward too.  Molly is 4 in three weeks (how did that happen?!) she will be starting school in September (pass the tissues nearer the time please). This is closely followed by me heading off on my first ever cruise (don’t ask me where I am going, I have no idea, it is a Hen Weekend, there will be wine, no children and an excuse to wear a very pretty dress, I don’t care where we are visiting if I am totally honest!)

July see’s me heading off to see the love of my life Mr Robbie Williams in concert at Wembley.

June is the sticky month for me this year, it is usually the most exciting month as it is my birthday, but this year, I am reaching the grand old age of 30 and I am filled with dread.  I love being in my twenties and I am not sure I like the sound of 30 one little bit.

So the first six months of this year are all about preparing myself for turning 30 (mentally and physically!).  Since Alfie was born in 2010 my main aim every year has been to lose weight, I always start off well, then fail miserably for a few months, get my groove back mid year and lose it again by September. Not this year, I have the first six months of 2013 to get fit and lose weight to ensure that I am NOT fat at 30!

I do have a plan though, a plan that CAN’T fail! That plan is to choose a very pretty dress to wear for my 30th Birthday then work hard to actually fit in the dress by the event. My reward will in actual fact be several pretty dresses as I will need some for the cruise too, so the aim is by September to be thinner, fitter, healthier and have a wardrobe filled with dresses (this cannot be a bad plan now can it?). I can feel a new Pinterest board coming on!

I will be using my trusty Slimpod along the way to keep me motivated, before Christmas I managed to lose half a stone just through listening to the Slimpods so I know I can do it I just need to get on and actually stick to it.

I have a whole list of other things I want to get done before my 30th too, and of course I have the standard list of new years resolutions too which include the following -

To be a complete domestic goddess everyday of the year forever more.

To cook every meal from scratch and never eat take away/fast food EVER again.

To never shout at my kids no matter how naughty they are and generally be more like Mary Poppins everyday.

To always be on time for everything.

To never drink wine again.

I have actually broken the first three of these already and it is only January 2nd so how the rest of the year is going to pan out who knows! Maybe being a Domestic Goddess is totally overrated? We shall see, as long as I end the year, thinner in a pretty dress then all is good in my eyes!

What are your resolutions this year? I hope 2013 is a fantastic one for you filled with health and happiness!

  1. I am going to lose weight – look fab and groovy for my son’s First Holy Communion in May, declutter my house, tidy up my garden and finally get myself organised. Not expecting much then….
