Family Fun at AMF Bowling

With three children ranging from 16 years down to 23 months, it can be tough to find things we can do as a family together that everyone will enjoy.  So when we were invited over to AMF Bowling in Wellingborough for an afternoon of family fun we jumped at the chance.

We went straight from school and had two games of bowling and a meal.  Everything was great, and we all had so much fun!

We ordered our food first and it was all great, the portions were very generous and I loved the fact that the children had proper children’s plates, Molly LOVED hers and wanted one to eat with at home too! There is an option on all of the bowling lanes to order food and drink during your games, I think looking back this would have been a better option for us, we could have been bowling whilst the food was being prepared so this is something we will bear in mind next time we visit.

After our meal we got down to the serious business of the bowling! Liam and his Dad are very competitive when it comes to bowling, so it was a fight to the end to see who was going to win!

I was impressed that we could get tiny little shoes so both Molly and Alfie could also join in and they loved their new shoes, in fact Alfie was not too impressed at having to give his back when we had finished!

I was unsure as to how the kids would get on, Alfie is still very young and I was not convinced he would like it, after an initial tantrum about every turn not being ‘his’ turn he got into the swing of things quite well and went on to WIN the first game with Liam and Daddy coming in joint second just behind him – they were not impressed!!

Well done Alfie such a clever boy! He looked very oddly at us all when we clapped him, he had no idea what he had done that was so impressive! I think the competitiveness of big brother and Daddy must have rubbed off, this bowling is serious stuff you know!

We had two games of bowling, Alfie only joined in for one as he was starting to get tired, but he was happy helping his sister play the second game and being in charge of the official photography of the event with my phone, I won’t be sharing his snaps though as they are mainly of the floor!!

We really did have a great evening, it was perfect for something to do that everyone could enjoy and we will certainly be back very soon! A great family fun evening and well recommended!

Over the Half Term break AMF Bowling are offering some fantastic offers on bowling for the little ones. At Wellingborough where we visited they have a fantastic Halloween Party taking place on the 27th October and throughout the half term break they are offering 1 game of Bowling with Hot Dog Chips and a drink for just £5.95! An amazing half term offer!

Check out their website here for more information and to find out where your nearest AMF is and you can also follow them on Facebook here.

We were invited to AMF Bowling and asked to review our visit.  We received a meal and 2 games of bowling.  This is my honest opinion on our experience. I did not receive any financial reward for writing this post.

The Gallery – Planes Trains and Automobiles

We really struggle to know what to get for Liam when it comes to Birthday and Christmas. All we tend to get is the usual teenage grunts of ‘I dunno.’  Two years ago I decided to avoid the usual grunting situation and decided to book something for him.  I had seen some driving experiences on-line that were suitable for teenagers and knew he would love it.

Liam did his test lap in a Subaru, we had been expecting it to be a Mini or a Focus needless to say he was most impressed with the upgrade!  After a few goes round the track in this he moved onto this………
